46 products
One PT Motion Events site to hire a photo booth for the night or buy one, with 46 products across 11 categories and 5 hire services in one menu

The brief

PT Motion Events sell and hire photo booths and event kit. They needed one site where a visitor can hire for an evening, buy a booth to start their own trade, or just ask, without three separate journeys.

What I owned

I ran the website and ecommerce build as project manager. I scope and run it, the developers build it.

The approach

  1. Put hire, packages and buying in one menu, so every visitor finds their way in, whether they want a booth for the night or one to start trading.
  2. Built the hire enquiry form so the customer describes the night once, and the team gets one email with everything needed to price it, reply-to set to the customer.
  3. Set up on-page checkout: card through Stripe or direct bank transfer, with the terms agreed by a tick before the order is placed.
  4. Laid it out for the phone in the guest’s hand, captured at real phone and tablet widths, not a shrunken desktop.
  5. Removed the dead ends: a thank-you page after every enquiry, and a 404 that gets people back to the range.

The outcome

One site that hires booths out, sells them, and catches the enquiries in between: each enquiry arrives as one email ready to quote, payment happens on the page, and there are no dead ends. 46 products, 11 categories and 5 hire services, in one menu.
